Very occasionally, an IR&WS no longer a puppy may become available. We who breed in Canada do expect breeders to take back and re-home their own breeding when necessary. Occasionally one might be returned to its breeder, usually through no fault of its own. Our breed club has not yet seen the need for a breed rescue in Canada.
But if an older IR&WS is looking for a home, we may know about it. Older IR&WS's do indeed bond with new families, and they with the dog. Our own Festie came to us as a four-year-old, returned to her breeders in England. Their loss was our gain. What an interesting, intelligent, well-adjusted, good girl she was, and a fantastic beginning for the breed here in Canada. We have had several other Red 'N' Whites come to us as adults, anywhere from two years old, to Lainie at thirteen. Every one of them has been a blessing.
We do not know of any adult IR&WS's needing a new home at this time.
We are currently taking reservations for our 2025 litter.
